The location was fantastic up in the hills of Sebreño, in the meadows above Ribadesella town and beach. Fabulous views over Ribadesella and the Bay of Biscay below. Really quiet location with only the sounds of the sheep and cow bells at night and the Atlantic ocean in the distance. The hotel is an old villa outside but beautifully renovated inside with natural stone details and modern design. Modern sitting areas inside and out with great views everywhere and an outdoor swimming pool. Our room was bright and comfortable with fantasic views. Bathroom was small but with a fabulous shower. Now we know how to reach the hotel, despite the shortcomings, we would definately want to stay here again because of it's fabulous location!
The hotel was quite diffucult to find - our route planner couldn't find it either! The hotel is up in the hills in Sebreño, above the town of Ribadesella, which is very misleading! One of the reasons for booking this hotel was for the beach nearby and the restaurant in the hotel. But the beach isn't nearby and the restaurant was closed! There were no other restaurants in the immediate viccinity - although we found out ourselves, the nexy day as we were leaving, that the café next door had a menu! The lady in charge was charming but didn't speak English and it was very difficult to get the right information. The hotel bar was badly stocked- no red wine for instance and the last of a bottle of white. We were charged €9 for a glass of brandy!
